MILITARY SERVICE: United States Navy, S2. World War II
Robert L. McSwiggin, 73, of Salem, died March 2 in Salem Hospital, after a brief illness.
Mr. McSwiggin leaves his wife, Marcia (Ripley) McSwiggin of Medford; a son, Scott Leo McSwiggin of Swampscott; three daughters, Gail Lawrence of Medford, Cathy Gallant of Livermore, Calif., and Cindy Cormier of Citrus Heights, Calif.; two brothers, Richard McSwiggin of Hamilton and Gardner McSwiggin of Wenham; a sister, Dorothy Dozier of Georgetown; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Raymond and Francis McSwiggin.
Services were held March 5 in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
