About Robert Mitford, of Seghill
Robert Mitford of Seghill (son of John Mitford & Barbara Lawson) was born in 1551 and died in Sept 1611; he was buried 7 Sep 1611.
He married on 29 Sep 1574 at St. Nicholas church in Newcastle upon Tyne to Alison (or Alice) Anderson, daughter of Bertram Anderson, "of Newcastle, Alderman.". She had Seghill for her jointure. Alice was buried on 22 Jan 1616 and administration of her personal estate 21 February 1616/17.
They had 11 known children.
