About Robert North, Sr.
GEDCOM Note
came to walton in 1786 with two brothers, land was deeded by Willaim Walton, to whom it had been deeded by the king. Walton was a tory, and when it became unsafe to be a tory in the colonies, he deeded the land to the North Brothers, Pines, Townsends, and Stocktons, to build a town, provided that the town be named Walton. Bob North has a book written by Arthur North on the founding of Walton.
