Just before going to press it was learned that the convict who escaped from the State camp at Vanderpool last Monday, was captured by LEE PAGE and Roy Pullin, Back Creek farmers, last evening. He came to the Page home asking for food, and when notified by Mrs. Page, Mr. Page, accompanied by Pullin, followed him and located him in a bum, a few miles away. According to reports, he showed the effects of the several days’ exposure, and seemed to be “all in.” It is learned that he had previously escaped from a camp in Orange county before being brought to work in Highland.
