Robert Collins Palmer

Born in NY. Marries Ann Vanderhoef about 1848. They move to Wisconsin, first residing in Dodge Co., Then settling in Columbia Co. They have 9 kids together. Robert Palmer dies in 1880 at age 63.

• * * The Columbus Republican (Sat. March 6, 1880) "Rio Items About three weeks ago Robert C. Palmer recieved a telegraph summonimg him and his wife to Colby, as his son Henry had cut his arm nearly off with a circular saw while working at a saw mill about six miles from that place. Last Sunday morning his children remaining here at home received the sad news that their father was dead and requiring preparations for the burial and on Wednesday morning Mrs. Palmer and her son William arrived here with the remains. The funeral was at the Congragational Church at 3 o'clock Wednesday, conducted by Rev. J.C. Robbins. They report Henry doing as well as can be expected, but was not able to come home to attend the funeral."
