About Robert Porter
Robert Porter served in Col. Broadhead's regiment of Pennsylvania Infantry from 1776 to 1782. At the age of 68 in 1818 he was granted a pension which was paid at Lexington, Kentucky agency until his death in 1826.
He was in many of the minor engagements on the frontier settlements in fights with Indians and British troops, was once wounded and twice a prisoner.
