Biographical Summary
"Robert Pringle of Edgefield - Son of Thomas Pringle, writer to the signet, was admitted advocate 4th July 1724; and in 1748 was appointed Sheriff Depute for the county of Banff. On the death of Alexander Lesley, Earl of Leven, he was elevated to the bench, and took his seat on the 20th of November 1754, by the title of Lord Edgefield He died 8th April 1764."
