Robert's probate records seem to be these: Ralye, Robert, of Norwich, Norfolk 1595 NCC administration act book 1589-1605, fo. 143; Rayley, Robert, of Norwich, Norfolk 1600 NCC administration act book 1589-1605, fo. 254. Robert and Faith had John Rayley, and also a son William Rayley and a daughter Susanne Rayley who married John Gilbert.

Robert Rayley married Faith Steward, daughter of Augustine Steward of Norwich and his first wife Alice Repps, daughter Henry Repps of Marshland in Norfolk. Faith had previously married to John Aldrich, alderman of Norwich.

Faith's will: Rayley (Ralye), Faith, widow, of Norwich 1596 NCC will register Skyppon 339. This will confirms as per visitations that her late husband was John Aldrich, alderman, and her other late husband was Robert Ralye. She names a sister Mickelfeild; loving sisters, Mrs Shellton, Mrs Layer, Mrs Rugge, Mrs Thurstone; brother-in-law John Rayly of Cley, William Raly the elder, grandfather to her son of the same name. She has three children to her second husband Ralye, William, John, and Susanne. She also has both a son-in-law and a grandchild named Thomas Smallpeece, so this must be the husband of Susanne.
