SAN FRANCISCO, CA. — Robert P. Sauve, 68, of Sacramento, CA and formerly of New Bedford, passed away at Mercy San Juan Hospital on May 28, 2011. He was the son of the late Normand and Irene (Desjardins) Sauve.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. — Robert P. Sauve, 68, of Sacramento, CA and formerly of New Bedford, passed away at Mercy San Juan Hospital on May 28, 2011. He was the son of the late Normand and Irene (Desjardins) Sauve.

He was born and raised in New Bedford and lived in Sacramento, CA for several years. He attended St. Anthony Grammar School and completed his high school at the Seminaire de Joliet, in Canada. He served in the US Marine Corps.

Robert loved being a musician and was an avid violinist. He was a former member of the Greensboro, NC Symphony.

He leaves a son, Noah L. Sauve; a brother, Gerald R. Sauve of Wareham; two sisters, Constance T. Soares of Acushnet and Jacqueline B. Taber of New Bedford; eight nieces and nephews; and thirteen great nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass with cremains present will be held at St. Anthony Church, New Bedford, on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 9 AM followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
