About Robert Soper
Robert's will is dated January 23, 1790 and entered for record May 25, 1790; recorded in Liber T-1 at folio 295 in the Prince George's County Records. Papers in the settlement of his estate are indexed under his name, filed in the General Files of 1810-A at the courthouse in Marlboro. He leaves to his wife, Sarah, the dwelling home and the plantation, as well as eleven negroes. He leaves to his son, BENONI,(Ben Oni Soper) two negroes and 70 acres of the tract called Soper's Addition. To his daughter, Mary Ann, he leaves three negroes. The rest of his estate he leaves to "my children and grandchildren and lists the names of Robert Soper, Alexander Soper, Sarah Hurley, and Asa Moore.
