   1 - Robert Ban STEWART, in Auchnahard, b: 2 NOV 1747 in Glenfinglas, Callander, Perthshire, Scotland, shown above as a son of John Ban Mor Stewart in Auchnahard. Robert is described in ÙCiÙDStewarts of the SouthÙC/iÙD as: "Robert Stewart at Auchnahard, [who had] one-eighth part of Glenfinglas. He has two sons." According to ÙCiÙDThe Ardvorlich HistoryÙC/iÙD Robert was nicknamed "Rap Bean" (which is merely the English mispronunciation of the Gaelic "Rab Ban" or "Rob Ban"). ÙCiÙDMitchell's Monumental InscriptionsÙC/iÙD for Kilmahog Cemetery #35 reads: Mr. Robert Stewart, late tenant Glenfinglas, where his forefathers resided for many generations, b there 11.11.1741 and d there 2.5.1840. Mrs Stewart of Milton's account says of Robert (her own grandfather-in-law): "Robert S., b. 11 NOV 1747 was a son. He married Janet McKinlay.... Above Robert was father of John S. (in) Auchnahard afterwards in Milton. Robert's will contains the following information: "Robert Stewart died 2.5.1840, tenant of Auchnahard Farm, Glenfinglas, Callander. Inventory and Will, 4.3.1840. There are six joint tenants of Glenfinglas. Executors: John Stewart, eldest son, tenant in Milton, and Alexander Stewart, son, Auchnahard. His wife, Janet McKinlay and daughters: Mary, Margaret, Janet, and Katharine. Trustees appointed for children in 1813 - Baillie Alexander Stewart, merchant in Glasgow, and Duncan Stewart, brother, in Auchnahard, and James McKinlay in Ardchullary. This part was written for him by William Stewart of Ardvorlich. 1821 Codicil, his wife, Janet McKinlay, has died. Janet and Catharine are still unmarried. Written by Robert Stewart, younger of Ardvorlich, witnessed by William Stewart of Ardvorlich. 1840 Codicil was to do with Alexander being paid for work he has done on the farm, written by Robert Stewart of Ardvorlich at Auchnahard, witnessed by Duncan Stewart in Stank. Robert married on 27 FEB 1778 in Callander, Perthshire, Scotland to Janet MCKINLAY, of the Anie (in the Pass of Leny), b: 3 MAY 1758 in Annie, Strathyre, Callander, Perthshire, Scotland.
