!As far as is known Sarah had one child named Robert. The Mercer Co., West Virginia History lists circumstantial evidence saying the father of Sarah Stewart's son Robert was Henry Clay, her uncle and son of Mitchell and Phoebe Clay.

Info from Linda C. Gunnoe: Daniel married Sarah (Sallie) Stewart on May 1, 1815 in Giles County, Virginia. Sarah was born in 1797 in Montgomery County, Virginia. She had a son prior to marrying Daniel, Robert Stewart, who was born in 1813. Robert's father is unknown. Some have suggested that he was the son of Henry Clay (Sarah's Uncle) who lived next door. However this has not been substantiated and we may never know for sure who Robert's father was.
