Robert, mentioned in the charter before mentioned, is erroneously stated to have been killed with his brother, the Earl of Buchan, at the battle of Ver- neuil, 1424. He was alive in 1431, when he received in that and the two previous years a pension out of the customs of the burgh of Dundee of £13, 6s. 8d.5
