"Served as a PVT. in Capt. James McConnell's Co, Col Armstrong's Regt. of the Cumberland Co, PA Militia during the American Revoltution."

Robert Stockton was born October 19, 1737, in eastern Pennsylvania, near Chambersburgh, and on December 22, 1761, he was married to Mary McKennie. Mr. Stockton served in the Revolutionary war, taking part in the battles of Trenton and Monmouth.
