About Robert Willson Williams
Kewanee Plantation: This plantation was on the Winnsboro Road south of Monroe. Robert Willson Williams inherited it from his mother, Nannie Willson Williams, and eventually had it subdivided into lots and sold as residential property. This area has been in the city limits of Monroe for many years. Incidentally, it is nowhere near Island DeSaird.
