About Robert Willison
In 1860, Robert Willison was an innkeeper in Ross, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, where he lived with his wife Elizabeth, their two children, Mary Ivy and Charles, and his brother Isaac Willison.
On 1 September, 1862, Robert Willison enlisted as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Union Army in Company F of the 139th infantry regiment of Pennsylvania. He received a disability discharge from his regiment 30 December, 1862, probably from wounds he received at the Battle of Fredericksburg, though his regiment saw little action there.
