Blacksmith in Crookwell NSW

Migrated to New Zealand On Board " Olympus" 1842

Apr 2 1848: ship "Catherine" to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

We don't know which ship they took from New Zealand to Tasmania.

When he died he was said to be 86 years old and so born in 1821. However, the baptism record gives his baptism on 22 August 1819. Also New Zealand archive gives his age as 23 in 1842. Looks like his gravestone at Rookwood might say 88 years old, but the photo I have is super fuzzy. The baptism record both gives his name as Robert William and his mother as Ruth.

Picture is of the blacksmith's hut in Crookwell, where he presumably worked.
