Robin Graham Storey Dent (1942 - 2002)

Brief overview:

Robin (59), and his wife Joan Winifred Dent (59), were bludgeoned, then shot dead in the bathroom, in front of their twelve-year-old son Nicholas, on their farm Aussicht in Wartburg, on 15th June 2002. Robin was shot in the head, and Alison in the chest and arm.

One perpetrator, who was armed with a military rifle, invaded their home between 02h00 and 03h00. Before he murdered the couple, the suspect ransacked the house, stealing guns, a television set, video recorder and other household goods.

Nicholas's parents killer then abducted him, and forced him to drive his parents car to the Trust Feeds location 3km from the farmhouse. "Once they arrived at Trust Feeds, the killer told Nicholas to run. He made his way to the farmhouse and raised the alarm," said Superintendent Peter Scott, commander of the murder and robbery squad.
