About Rodham Lawrence
Edward lived in Northumberland Co. VA and owned land there, which he and his wife Sarah sold in 1738 before moving to Prince William Co. VA. The St. Stephens Parish records of Northumberland record the births of Edward's daughters, Sarah and Winifred. In Prince William, Edward apparently lived in that section which became Fauquier Co. in 1759. Edward did not fight in the Revolutionary War, but he did supply beef for the cause. Consequently, descendants of Edward are eligible for the DAR and SAR. (See my homepage for a copy: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/v/i/d/Carol-L-Vidales/PH... 4photo.html ) Edward left a will, dated 1783, probated March 1786 Fauquier Co., which names 8 children plus one grandson, Rodham Tullos Lawrence. The parents of Rodham are not known. It is possible that he was a Tullos orphan that was adopted--his mention in the will would then be to return his original inheritance to him. However, this is NOT PROVEN.
