DANVILLE — Roman J. Hershberger, 80, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at his home.

He was born Jan. 5, 1937, to the late Jonas and Katie (Troyer) Hershberger, and married Mary A. Weaver on Feb. 28, 1958. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are three brothers; three sisters; children, Anna (Henry) Hershberger of Oak Hill, Albert (Lizzie) Hershberger of Danville, Edna (Eli) Raber of Danville, Jonathan (Edna) Hershberger of Lakeville, Jonas (Anna) Hershberger of Howard, Fannie (Aden) Hershberger of Blanchard, Mich., Daniel (Verba) Hershberger of Lakeville, Katie (David) Kuhns of Howard, Orpha (Raymond) Hershberger of Blanchard, Mich., Ervin (Naomi) Hershberger of the home, Susan (Andy) Hershberger of Lakeville, Laura (Levi) Troyer of Danville, and Maryann (Atlee) Weaver of Danville; 109 grandchildren; and 96 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; two sisters; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 29 at 9:30 a.m. at his residence, 28201 Black Road, Danville, with Bishop Albert Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Mast Cemetery at the residence. Friends and family may call at the home anytime.
