Will train again in Launceston

FORMER Carrick trotting trainer, Ron Smith, who has had charge of the Birkenmoor Stud at Lower Plenty, Vic., for the past three years, intends to resume training in Launceston. Smith won several races with Final Raid in Victoria. While at Carrick he had many sucoesses with Radiant Sheik, Dandy Raider, Battlefront and Beau Doreli. He has brought the threeyear-old filly, Irish Belle, from Melbourne, and possibly one or two others will follow.
