Ronald Ronnie Daigle, 82, of Manchester, died Dec. 29 at Rockville General Hospital.
Mr. Daigle lived in Manchester for 68 years. An active sports enthusiast, he played semi-pro hockey in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and coached baseball and basketball at all age levels.
He also served as the director of the West Side Rec. He was a self- employed electrician, and also worked at Pratt and Whitney for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret J. (Sullivan) Daigle; his son and daughter-in- law, Robert and Joyce Daigle of Pittsburgh, Pa.; his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Stephen Shurkus of Madison; four grandchildren, Peter and Meg Daigle, and Christopher and Andrew Shurkus; and many friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rockville Hospital Kidney Dialysis Unit, 31 Union St., Rockville, CT 06066.
