Ronald D. (Shorty) (Red) Shope,
Ronald D. (Shorty) (Red) Shope, 61 passed away on October 23, 2008 at Shands Hospital. He was born February 8, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio.

He lived in Trenton, Florida since 1982. Mr. Shope was a dairy man most of this time.

He is preceded in death by his son, Leslie Kenneth Shope of Xenia, Ohio; his mother Leila M. Shope of Bowersville, Ohio and his father, H.K. Shope also of Bowersville.

He is survived by John (Kris) Shope of Xenia; Carolyn (Shope) Colson of Trenton, Florida; 9 nieces and nephews, Donna (Tom) Ayers, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Danny (Adrienne) Shope of Jeffersonville, Ohio, Darrell (Lisa) Shope of Cibola, Texas, Jason Shope of Xenia, Vincent (Shonda) Shope of Jamestown, Heather Smith of Trenton, Florida, Adam (Niki) Shope of Yellow Springs, Jesse (Rebecca) Shope of Jamestown, Aaron McIntire of Xenia, Connie Shope, former sister-in-law of Bowersville and 16 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 28 at Powers Funeral Home in Jamestown, Ohio, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowersville, Ohio.

There will be a memorial service in November 3, 2008 at 5 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, Trenton, Florida.
