Rosa was small in stature and quite eccentric in many of her later years. Rosa and Edward lived in Coal Run and "Dunbridge", Ohio until about 1888-89 at which time they moved to Bay County, MI. They later moved to Arenac Co., MI. to a settlement known as "Welles Addition". At some point in time their house burned and they lost most of their possessions. They then bought a house in Standish. After the tragic deaths of their two oldest chldren, life was never the same for Rosa and Edward.
Rosa continued to live in their Standish house after the death of Edward. She was married for a short time to a "Mr. McKee". He died and then she relied heavily on her son, Walter and his wife Geraldine, who lived next door.
In 1944 they moved to Whittemore, Iosco Co. and took her with them. She was not happy there and returned to Standish to live with her daughter, Ethel, until she died. Both Edward and Rosa are buried in the cemetary in Pinconning.
