Rosalie Stricker (Riesz)

Rosalie "Saly" Ries married Salomon Stricker on May 18, 1846 in Waag-Neustadtl (Vág-Ujhely, in Hungarian), Hungary (now part of Slovakia). Marriage record appears in Slovakia, Church and Synagogue Books, 1592-1910 Jewish (Židovská obec) for Nové Mesto nad Váhom, at FamilySearch.org (see in MEDIA). The page says that Saly was the daughter of Löbl Ries, and that Löbl Ries Rabbiner performed the ceremony.

Edith Silberberg Stricker, wife of Rosalie's grandson Otto (son of Moritz Stricker), appended to a 1970s family history of Otto's that "Salomon Stricker and wife had really 12 children. They lived in Budapest. Two of their boys drowned, one in the Danube." [Copy of Otto Stricker family history from Ruth Newlove; in possession of D. Zaller.]

Rosalie Stricker death record says "age 86" (died July 11, 1910 at 10:00 in the evening).

Neue Freie Presse death notice was published July 13, 1910.

Burial was in Zentralfriedhof, Wien.
