About Rose Kronhaus
GEDCOM Note

Rose was born before 1890, in (most likely) Bobruisk, which at the time was in Belarus. (Note: Her birth date is estimated on the basis of the claim that she was 14 when she emigrated to the United States, and that she was followed by her father in 1904. Her place of birth is estimated as being the same as her youngest sister.) She emigrated to the United States, traveling with an uncle. While living in a boarding house in New York, she took a ferry to Hoboken, New Jersey, where she worked in a bed-making factory to earn money for the passage of herremaining family members. Later, the family lived in family Brownsville, a part of Brooklyn. Because she started working as soon as she arrived in the United States, she was never able to attend an American school, yet she managed to learn to read and write English. She married Samuel Kronhaus July 1, 1911, in Manhattan, New York, New York, United States.[1] Children of the marriage include at least their son Joseph and daughters Selma and Florence Kronhaus.[2][3] Rose and her husband jointly owned a house with Rose's parents at 1113 Hopkinson Ave in Brooklyn. Rose Kronhaus died November 7, 1960. She was buried in Montefiore Cemetery in Springfield Gardens, Queens County, New York, USA.[4]

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Simonofsky-3
