Rosemarie Janice Krenz, 84, Mohall, died Sunday, October 15, 2017, at a Mohall nursing home.
She was born April 9, 1933, in Kenmare, to Harry and Arlene (Duerre) Johnson. She was raised on the family farm near Norma and graduated from Kenmare High School in 1950. She attended Bethel College, St. Paul, MN, and received a standard teaching certificate from Minot State University. She taught school four years at the Grover Township School.
Rosie married Paul Krenz on March 24, 1955, in Kenmare. They lived and farmed for many years in Grover Township, Renville County. After her children were in school, she worked as a nurse’s aide for 20 years at the Good Samaritan Society in Mohall. Paul died November 2, 2006.
Rosie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Tolley, and the LWML, the Cowbells Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, served a term on the Mohall School Board and also served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention. She will be remembered as a warm, caring and loving person.
Family: daughter-in-law, Christine Krenz, Blue Springs, MO; daughters, Brenda (John) Miller, Bismarck, Pam (Tim) Klabo, Antler, Penny (Mike) Foster, Ann Arbor, MI; grandchildren, John Miller, Jessica Carlson, Andrew Miller, Stephanie Cornelius, Andrew Klabo, Crystal Klabo, Scott Klabo, Jack Foster and Sarah Foster; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Petre, Boerne TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosie was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; infant son, Paul Harry Krenz; and son, Mark Krenz.
