Mrs. C. A. LEINBACH died at the Farm Sanatorium, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma June 16th, where she had gone for medical treatment. She had been ill since January 6th. Since entering the sanatorium her condition had improved and it was believed that she was on the road to recovery. On Sunday, pneumonia developed from which she died Monday night.

Rosemary McKENNON was born at Clarksville, Arkansas, July 18, 1884. She was a daughter of Capt. A. S. and Hanna McKENNON. Her father served in the Confederate army and after the war engaged in the practice of law at Clarksville. In 1897 the family moved to McAlester, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma.) Capt. McKENNON had become Commissioner to the Five Civilized Tribes. She was educated in the public schools at Clarksville and McAlester. In June 1904, she was graduated at Liberty Ladies College, Liberty, Missouri, where she specialized in piano music. After finishing college she taught music at McAlester and later in a seminary at Green Forest, Arkansas. She was accomplished musician and successful at teaching.

She was married to Chester A. LEINBACH, November 27, 1907. Mr. LEINBACH entered the law practice with Capt. McKENNON at McAlester, and so continued until December, 1913. Since that time she has lived in this community. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Parma Dixon and Emma Elizabeth; two brothers, Dr. George McKENNON, of Russellville, Arkansas, and Mrs. P. D. McKENNON, of St. Smith, Ark.: three sisters, Mrs. J. T. CLAYTON of Oklahoma City, Mrs. R. L. KILGORE, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Basham BRICE, of Denver, Colo. Her parents died some years ago.

Mrs. LEINBACH was a member of the Congregational church of this city and The order of Eastern Star, at McAllester, Oklahoma. She took an active part in the ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and had served as President of the county organization. She had been very active in the social and civil life of the community. The banks and many of the business houses of the city were closed during the funeral service.

The funeral service were held at the Congregational church of Onaga, conducted by Rev. Chas. E. Henry, pastor. At the Close, the local chapter, Order of Eastern Star, gave the ceremony of that order. It was very beautiful and impressive. Interment was in the Onaga cemetery.

Those attending from out of town were: Mrs. R. L. Kilgor and son of Fort Worth, Texas; Mrs. Basham Brice, of Denver, Colo., K. D. Doyle, D. C. Hill and Harold Stewart, of Wamego, E. S. Francis, C. S. Smith, L. A. Whearty, R. F. J. Knox and Fred O'Daniel, of Westmoreland; Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Addington, Sam Sage, F. L. Eby, W. C. Child, J. A. Talsen, A. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. O'MEARA and Misses Edith and Mildred O'Meara, of Topeka; and Mrs. Florence OSTERHOUT and Howard Osterhout, of Lawrence.

Mrs. C. A. LEINBACH died at her home in Onaga, Monday. She had been sick for months. Funeral services were held today. An obituary will be published in our next issue.

Death of Mrs. C. A. Leinbach.

This community was shocked and saddened Tuesday morning, when word of death of Mrs. C. A. Leinbach reached this city. To all of us her death came very unexpected, although we knew she had not been in the best of health for several months.

Her death occurred at Oklahoma City where she was taken a few days ago for medical treatment. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Congregational church in this city, at 2:30 o'clock. An obituary will be published in The Herald next week.
