- Obituary - Mrs T. D. Bartley Rites Held Sunday
Mrs T. D. Bartley, Sr., 78, died at her home here Friday, April 27, 1962, after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at The First Methodist Church at 2 o#clock Sunday afternoon, April 29, with the Rev. Earl Ball, church minister as officiant. Delta Funeral Home directed interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
Nephews served as pallbearers. They were Ebb Bartley, Lyndall Bell, Marshall E. Harris, Billy J. Bell, Art Blassingame, and E.D. Woodard.
Mrs. Bartley, the former Miss Roxie Bell, was born March 14, 1884 in Fannin County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bell.
She was married to T.D. Bartley in 1905 at Ladonia. Mrs. Bartley was a member of the First Methodist Church in Ladonia.
Survivors are her husband of the home of Ladonia; eight sons, A.B. Bartley of Garland; John Bartley of Dallas; C.Y. Bartley of Sundown; Paul Bartley, T.D. Bartley Jr., Bob Bartley and Roy Bartley all of Marshall; Newt Bartley of Houston; two daughters, Mrs Lola Lawson of Milford, Del., and Mrs. M.L. Pope of Marshall; a brother, Walter Bell of Bonham; four sisters, Mrs. J.H. Woodard and Mrs. Earl Bartley, both of Ladonia; Mrs. L. F. Jacks of Whitewright, and Mrs Daisy Blassingame of Big Spring.
