"Inconsistency" of Ruth being 13 when she married Dr. Ezra Carter - It was said that When Ezra would come home for the midday meal, he would often find Ruth playing with her doll in the barn loft. So she may have been as young as 13 when married. 2nd "inconsistency" that she was too young to have her first child at 14 - not impossible that she would be able to have a baby within a year.
