Ruth Herbst is recorded in the 1905 NY Census as living with her Aunt Freda (Fanny) KRANTZ Kreinik at 2249 Broadway in Manhattan. She is 2 years old and has been in the country 2 months. The NY Census was conducted on 1 Jun 1905, so that puts her arrival about the beginning of April 1905. How did Ruth get to New York 7 years before her mother? Another explanation. Not the right niece Ruth? Feige went back and returned?

This is a problem because there is a record of Feige coming over with Joseph and Pinkus in 1913: New York, Passenger Lists, 1820-1957
