Sarah ‘Ruth’ McCutchen

MOUNT VERNON — Sarah “Ruth” McCutchen, 94, of New Delaware Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.

She was born Feb. 3, 1912, in Knox County to the late Samuel and Mary (Ebersole) Barton. Mrs. McCutchen was a lifelong resident of Knox County where she attended the Central Church of Christ. She was an avid bowler and always loved spending time in her garden.

She is survived by her loving family, a son, Charles (Marla) McCutchen of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Kathleen (Don) Goodin of Mount Vernon; and her grandson, Mike (Holly) McCutchen.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul McCutchen, whom she married on March 29, 1930; a daughter, Ruth Isabelle McCutchen; four brothers, Edgar Barton, Fred Barton, Carl Barton and Herb Barton; and a sister, Addie Barton.
