Ruth S. Poznik 1922 - 2005
Ruth S. Poznik, 83, former co-owner and founder of Acme Pipe and Steel in Great Bend, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, in Holtsville, N.Y. She was born Jan. 21, 1922 in Drumright, Okla., to parents Sam and Sarah (Goldsmith) Schusterman. She was a graduate of Tulsa Central High School in 1939. After retiring in 1963, Ruth and her husband Ben moved to Denver, Colo., where she lived until moving to New York to be near her daughter in 2004. She was preceded in death by Ben, her husband of 43 years, who died in 1984. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Poznik of Water Mill, N.Y.; a brother, Dan Schusterman; and grandchildren, Shane Froebel and Tamara Froebel. Graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, in the New B’nai Emunah Section of Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, Okla.
