Ruth Georgina Rebecca Stoney

Alex B. M. Stoney, 'Some Newer Annals of the Stoney Family' (Epping, NSW: the author, 2008) gives the date of Ruth's birth as May 1847. But the Templeharry parish register states: Ruth Georgina Rebecca, daughter of Johnston, gentleman, & Bessy Lucy Stoney of Emmel, born August(?) 26th 1846, baptised February 6 1847. And Burke's Landed Gentry of Ireland, 1912 ed., states that she was born in 1846.

www.rootsireland.ie has gravestone inscription: Ruth Georgina Stoney of Emell Castle, 9, daughter of James Johnston Stoney, date of death 25 Aug. 1856.
