About Søren Thygesen / William Scott / Schjøtt
My great grandfather was Soren Thygesen b 6 Sept 1841 son of Soren Thygesen b.7 Aug 1807 Skien and Idunna Urania Bottger b 5 March 1812 Skien. Siblings Josephine, Theordor and Idunna. He changed name to William Scott and arrived in Australia in 1871. My grandmother was Idunna Urania Scott and my mother Phyllis Idunna Duke. How exciting is this!!!! My sister and I and our husbands arrive in Oslo on 8 May to 12 May. We are staying in Oslo at Best Western Bondeheimen Hotel, Kviknes at Balestrand 13 and 14 May, Hotel Augustin Bergen 15-18 May. 19 May on Hurtigruten. Oslo again on 24 May briefly. Truly wonderful to meet you and/or others for a coffee and chat. Also, I briefly corresponded with Kerstin as a child??? I was Susan Glendenning - she may remember?? We tried to establish penfriends with her school friends and mine - cannot recall what happened!! All letters lost I am afraid. My sister Carol has also sent letter to karl Jebsen in Fana (we have an old address I am afraid). He met our cousins 25 years ago!!!! We would be very happy if you would respond.
