About Sgt Thomas Rix
Thomas Rix (James, Thomas), born ; bapt. in
First Church, in Salem, Mass., Feb., 1693; married, June 26, 1718, Jerusha Tracy, born in Preston, Conn., Sept. 24, 1697, daughter of Thomas Tracy, and resided in Preston on the old homestead of his father. He died Oct. 10, 1771, and she died Oct. 30, 1785, and both were buried in the Rixtown Cemetery in Griswold, Conn. In his will he divided his farm to his four sons and for their better satisfaction they redivided it Apr. 14, 1774.
