About SSG Isadore "Izzy" Jachman
- Isadore (Izzy) Jachman was awarded the Medal of Honor (posthumously) for his role in WWII. He was killed after defending the town of Flamierge, Belgium from a Nazi attack on January 4, 1945.
- Some years after the war, the villagers of Flamierge raised a statue in honour of the unknown soldier who had fought so selflessly to save their village. It was later confirmed that this was Isadore Jachman, and his name was added to the statue.
- Staff Sgt. Isadore Jachman Armory is located at 12100 Greenspring Avenue, Owings Mills, Maryland
