Miss Ella Graves, at old Campbellsburg, attended the party at Van Lamaster’s Monday night, and participated in the merriment. She went home and a few moments later was fatally burned. She was chilled and stood near the fire in her room downstairs. Her clothing caught fire, while she was alone, and before her screams aroused other members of the family, whom were upstairs, she was horribly burned. She lingered in great suffering until early Wednesday morning when she died.
Her funeral took place Thursday from the house, the services being conducted by Prof. J. W. Pearcy.
Miss Graves’ parents are dead. She was a sister of Tom and Sam Graves and a pleasant and worthy young woman.
