RE: KLEIN, Sali Case #A-43600
Mr. Arthur D. Greenleigh Joint Distribution Committee % American Embassy APO 887 % PM. New York
Dear Mr. Greenleigh:
We should like to ask your help in the following situation.
The name of Sali Klein, occupation modiste, registration #468 appears on a list of Czehoslovakian nationals who were transferred from Bergen Belsen on May 9, to the #3 camp in Germany.
We would like to get further information about this person in order to determine if she is the niece of Mr. Arnold Jacoby, 276 5th Avenue, New York City. If she ism her husband's name would be Joseph Klein and they have a daughter, Erzsabet Klein. Sali Klein's maiden name was Jakobowicz and she was born January 14, 1897 in Mikov, Czechoslovakia. Before the war she lived with her husband and daughter at 10 Palaczeki Part (oksi Ut) Uzhorod. This territory, or course, was transferred from Hungary to Czechoslovakia and back again.
We would appreciate any further information you can get concerning this person.
Sincerely yours,
