There are varying records (all Ancestry based) that place her as either the daughter [1] or the sister[2] of Samuel Franklin Bedgood. Those that place her as his daughter also claim she was born before him and therefore are incorrect in that respect. This birthdate of 1811 is more reasonable to make her his daughter than his sister, since his father John S. Bedgood was born in 1740 and his mother Mary White, was born in 1754, which would make her 57 at the time of Sarah's birth. For now, I will leave her with the 1811 birth date and as Samuel's daughter, until better information comes along. (DKM)

Sarah is more likely the daughter of John Bedgood, JR., the brother of Samuel Franklin Bedgood and son of John Bedgood (1734-1828). Many trees had her placed as a child of John Bedgood (1734-1828 Revolutionary Soldier). Samuel Franklin Bedgood is my direct line and I have researched him and his family extensively and have seen no evidence to place her in Samuel's family. The Pedigree Resource file referenced above contains many errors in names, marriages and dates. It was submitted by Ronald William Jordan 05/27/2015. (cbk)
