Sally was the daughter of Archelaus & Hannah (Emerson) Stevens. She married Joseph Hoyt 3 May 1798. They were the parents of 14 children. She lived in Grafton Co., New Hampshire, and moved to Bolton, Stanstead County, Quebec around 1812 and lived there until about 1854 when she moved with her children to Chautauqua County, New York.
