1819-1820 - In the half of Samuel Schlesinger's house lived as tenant Salomon Engländer with three family members who had two rooms and a kitchen. He also paid 6 fl 40 kr for protection and mining money.

According to the 1808 census, the Jewish population of Eisenstadt was 530 people. According to the 1821 Jewish Conscription, a total of 638 people or slightly more than 21 people per house lived in the 30 houses of the Jewish quarter. Some extreme cases are intended to document the catastrophic spatial and living conditions in individual houses. In the house of Samuel Schlesinger (house no. 30) in 12 rooms and 6 kitchens there were 7 apartments with a total of 59 people. In house no. 29 (so-called monastery house) in 11 rooms and two kitchens there were nine apartments with 29 persons. In David Spitzer's house No. 3,14 rooms and four kitchens were occupied by six apartments with 31 people. In the Meierhofgasse, 15 flats with 82 people lived in the five Jewish houses belonging to the five Jews, and in three other houses belonging to the Christians there were eight Jewish flats with 28 people. The total number of the Jewish population living in Eisenstadt in 1821 thus amounted to 748 persons. The Eisenstadt Jewish Community also included 62 parties living outside of Eisenstadt who had to pay their protection and mining monies of kr 6.40 each.

Salamon Engländer (1831) receives with the consent of Prince Nicholas II., granting permission to buy the house, 2/3 of which is owned by the widow Anna Maria Pieszl and 1/3 of the house belonging to Georg Berger, next to the Maierhof. The house concerned was the only one that still belonged to Christians at that time, after the formerly Flachische House (Flach had previously been a carpenter) and the Pfannische Haus had already been sold to Jews beforehand.
