About Samuel Agron

Sam Agron, 58, of 1214 West Seventy-sixty street, died yesterday at the Menorah hospital. He was born in Russia and lived here 38 years. For the last 11 years he had been in the real estate business with Block & Co. realtors. He formerly owned the Plaza market, 4542 Main. Mr. Agron was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom, Heroine Masonic lodge, the Scottish Rite, Ararat Shrine, B'nai B'rith lodge No. 184 and the Irari club. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Betty Agron of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Stein, 6937 Outlook, Overland Park, and Mrs. Jack Forman, 8905 Holly; a brother, Irvin Agron, 1001 West Sixty-ninth terrace; three sisters, Mrs. IJ Dolginoff, 6028 Rockhill, Mrs. Sam Hoffman, 6038 Rockhill, and Mrs. Max Kopin, 704 East Seventieth terrace, and five grandchildren. Services wil be at 3:30 o'clock today at the Beth Shalom synagogue. Burial will be in Mount Carmel cemetery. The pallbearers: Rubin Moskowitz, Sam Tankel, James Block, Jack Rainen, Julius Pelzman and Morrris Ellis.


Son of Aaron (Orlich) and Rebecca (Brechinsky) Agron.

He came to America with his parents in 1905 on the S.S. Moltke, which sailed from Hamburg, Germany. They arrived at Ellis Island on Jun 12, 1905 and settled in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO.

He married 11 Mar 1928 to Betty Goldman [b. 8 Jun 1908, St Louis MO]

1930, they moved to Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO.

Sam died in 1958. His death certificate states he was buried at Mount Carmel cemetery.
