About Samuel Bouton

In the Name of God amen I Samuel Boughton of Danbury in the County of Fairfield and Colony of Connecticut being at this time Sick and weak in body but of Sound mind and perfect memory for which praised be almighty God and considering the uncertainty when but Certainty of my Death Do in the fear of God whose I am and Do Indeavor to Serve make this my Last will and Testament hereby revoakig all other and former wills by me heretofore made my soul I Do perfectly Resign unto Jesus Christ my blessed redeamer In and Through whome alone and his Glorious meritts and Redemption I humbly hope for Eternal Hapiness and Salvation and my body I Commit to the Earth to be Deacenly Intered at the Discression of my Executors hereinafter named [in] trust and Faith of a Joyfull Resurrection to Everlasting Felissity and happiness and as for Such worldly Estate as God in his Infinite mercey has bestowed upon me I will Give Devise and bequeath the Same as followeth Imprimis I Do will that all my Debts and funeral Expences Shall be Justly Paid Item I Do Give and bequeath unto Abigail my Dearly beloved wife the one Third part of all my Lands or Real Estate as her right of Dower During her Natural Life and to her I Do also Give all my household Goods Except Such Things as I was possessed of in my first wifes Days Item to my Son David and his heirs forever I Do Give the one half of the Remainder of all my Lands Real Estate and to him I Likewise Give the one half of the Lands I have Given to my sd wife abigail in Right of Dower after her Decease and also to him I Do Give the one half of all my personal Estate Except what I have above Given to my sd wife

Item I Do will yt my Daughters Mercy amd Mary should each of them be made Equil out of my Real or personal Estate to what I have heartofore Given to my other Daughters[.] Item the Remainder of all my Estate both Real and Personal I Do Give to be Devided Equilly between my Daughters Elisabeth Jane Mercy Mary and ye Heirs of my Daughter Ruth Deceased to them and to their Heirs for ever: I do will that what I have Given to the Heirs of my Daughter Ruth viz. Sarah & Rugh Daughters of Caleb Hoyt of Norwalk shall be Equilly divided between them: Item I Do will yt if I should Live to Give any of my sd Childeren Lands by Deed or Deeds of Gift ye Same Shall after my Decease by prised to them as part of what I have Given them by this will[:]

Item I do hereby Constitute and appoint my son David and Son in Law Daniel Taylor Executors to this my Last will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25th Day of November In ye Second year of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Grate Brittain, France and Ireland King &c Annoque Domini 1761
