Birth and death dates are approximate. Samuel and Susannah "Lucy" Cain had at least 6 children. (1.) William Cain (7 Mar. 1767 - ) (2.) Joseph Cain (13 Aug.1769 - ) (3.) William Cain (15 Nov. 1771 - 7 Nov.1773) which was the 2nd of the name of William-copied from Bible. (4.) Samuel Cain (13 April 1773 - ) (5.) Ann Cain (27 Aug. 1775 - ) m. Jonathan Robeson (6.) John Cain (1777* - ) Note: the above information was copied from pg.50 of Bible & Family Rec. of Bladen Co., NC. Vol. 2. with the exception of the birth of John Cain which states he was born 1771. This must be a transcription error. I am working from the printed records and not the original Bible. Will of Joseph Cain signed 29 Dec.1798 (pg.20 Bladen Co., NC Abstracts of Wills 1734-1900 Wanda S. Campbell) names Joseph Cain and Ann Cain Robeson. This Joseph Cain was a brother to their father, Samuel Cain.
