Samuel Churchill II, married about 1761, Elizabeth Curtis, daughter of Elnathan Curtis and Rose Weller. He received land from the "Indian Committee" of Stockbridge (Indiantown) in 1768. Pvt. Churchill was in Capt. John Wells' & Capt. Roswell's Companies during the Revolutionary War. Samuel's will was written 18 Aug 1810, and submitted for probate 4 Dec 1810. He is buried in Stockbridge.
Elizabeth Curtis Churchill died 7 Aug 1818, according to the notice of her death in the "Berkshire Star" of 27 Aug 1818, and is buried in an unknown location--perhaps in Owego, Tioga Co. NY, where she died.
