Christopher Coy and his brother, David William Coy, both immigrated to Madison County, Kentucky, from Maryland after serving in the Revolutionary War.
Samuel Coy sold Tandy Farm A to Pascal Broaddus in 1828 and Tandy farm B to Thomas Broaddus, Pascal's older brother, in 1827 and moved to Howard County, Missouri.
Tandy Coy, subsequently returned ("came up Cincinnati Branch, a small branch of Paint Lick Creek, in an ox cart with everything I owned") and purchased Tandy Farm A and B in 1840 from his Broaddus cousins.
