Samuel Grandy, son of Robert Grandy and Bethiah Porter, was born in Reading, Windsor Co., Vermont on Mar. 9, 1763. He married with AZUBAH BISHOP (1767-1830).
Children were: Samuel Jr. (1786-1858), Benjamin (1788-1843), Jonathan (1789-1855), Levi (1793-1882), Wiliam (1795-1877), Chester (1798), Lewis and John (7/9/1800), Lucinda (1802-1889), and Azubah (1805-1847).
BIOGRAPHY: Compiled by Clara Grandy Rose & checked against census. St. Lawrence Co. New York History by Curtis, 1894, says S. & A. Grandy had 7 sons & 4 daughters page 327. Papers of Florice Grandy Dafoe, compiled by Clara Grandy Rose & thinks it came from New York Public Library. Clara Grandy Rose, Nat No. 146676, his Great-granddaughter was a member of the D.A.R. - James Ross Chapter, Kansas City.
