About Samuel Hosier
Biography
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hosier-154
Samuel Hosier was born about 1610, probably in England, according to Anderson.[1] The Streeter Bible reports he was born (or baptized) on 1 June 1614,[2] but this seems too late.
Marriage
Samuel married on 13 October 1657 in Charlestown, as her second, to Ursula (Adams) Streeter, widow of Stephen Streeter and daughter of Henry Adams (d 6 Oct 1646) and Edith (Squire).[2][1] Samuel and Ursula had no known children.[1]
Property and Positions
At the time of his marriage to Ursula, Samuel was "of Watertown."[3]
A part of Watertown which was later incorporated into Waltham was at one time called "Hosier's Corner" after Samuel Hosier who received Lot #12 in the Great Dividend of 1636.[4]
Death
Samuel died on 29 July 1665 at Charlestown, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[2][3]
No known children.
Research Notes
Helen Ullman argues that the dates in NEHGR 85:382 purported to be from the Streeter Bible may not be genuine (and therefore not accurate).[5] Anderson seems to agree, at least in reference to the reported birth date for Samuel Hosier.
