About Samuel Kellogg
he was a clothier; a man of public spirit, and of some note in Enfield, Hartford, and Goshen, CT., to which later place he removed in 1769. Three of his sons, Ebenezer, Leverett, and Helmont served in the revolutionary army.
Leverett died in 1776 in Ticonderoga; was captured and is said to have starved to death in prison. served in Capt John Sedgwick's co. was unmarried.
